Ask anything.

What is ReKid and how do you use it?

ReKid is a knowledge engine for curious children. You write a question; the answer is written for your reading age and a second model checks it before you see it.

ReKid is a place where you can ask about things you wonder about. It is not a search engine that hands you a list of links: you ask a question, and a knowledge set is built around it.

How you use it: type what you are curious about in your own words and send it. You wait a short while as the answer is prepared.

An answer contains the reply to your question, short facts about the topic, connected facts that put the topic in place, a short quiz so you can try what you learned, and up to five safe links where that fits.

You ask one question at a time, and there is a short wait between questions. This is not a punishment; it is so you can read what you were given and think about it.

You do not need a name, a username or a password to ask. No profile is built about you from your questions.

Quick facts

  • ReKid is a knowledge engine, not a list of links.
  • A second model checks every answer before you see it.
  • An answer also holds short facts, connected facts and a small quiz.
  • The wait between questions is there so you can read without rushing.
  • You need no name, username or password to ask a question.

Check what you remember

3 questions — all of them come from the quick facts above. There is no score and no wrong turn.

1. What happens to an answer before you see it?

2. Why is there a wait between questions?

3. What does an answer contain?
