How does an architect design a building?
An architect first dreams up a plan, then draws it, and turns the building into a step-by-step plan.
An architect thinks a lot before a building is made. They imagine who will use the building, how many rooms it needs, and what it should look like. Then they draw these ideas on paper or on a computer.
When an architect makes drawings, they plan every part of the building: where the doors will go, how big the windows will be, and how the stairs will stand. They also work together with engineers to make sure the building is strong, because it must stand up to wind and earthquakes.
After the plan is finished, the architect might make a model. A model is a small copy of the building, so everyone can see what it will look like before it is built. At the end, workers look at the plan and use it to build the real building.
