How will what we learn at school help us in the future?

What we learn at school helps us solve everyday problems and do the job we want in the future.

At school we learn subjects like maths, reading, and science. These are not just for tests. We use them every moment of our lives. We use maths to work out money at the shop, and we use reading skills to understand a book.

School also teaches us how to think. At school, you learn how to solve a problem and how to look things up when you need to find something out. This skill will help you no matter what job you choose when you grow up.

When you grow up, you might become a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, or choose another job. Whichever one you pick, the reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills you learned at school will be your foundation. This foundation will also help you whenever you want to learn something new.
