Why do we learn different subjects?
We learn different subjects because life is full of different skills, and each subject teaches us a different way to understand the world.
Math teaches us to think with numbers, English helps us share our thoughts, science shows us how the world works, and social studies teaches us about people and history. If we only studied one subject, we would never understand the other parts of life.
Each subject uses a different part of our brain. We use our imagination when we draw, our logic when we do math, and our body in P.E. class. This way, our brain grows in every direction instead of getting stuck in just one area.
Also, we don't know yet what we want to be when we grow up. Maybe we will be a doctor, an engineer, or an artist. If we learn about many subjects at school, it is easier to find out what we like and what we are good at.
